Tactic’s
and Tips For Playing
Here are a few tips to help improve your paintball game.
. When
you're out on the field playing, you don’t often
have time to think, so some preparation, and giving thought to what you are going to do
before you go out on the field will improve your game .
Situational awareness
Look around you on the field and
see where on the field opposing players will be able to shoot at you from.
Check
all angles of the field where can you be hit from, not from just in front of you.
Don't get tunnel vision, look around, not just in front of you. Don't concentrate on one target
alone. Watch the field for more oppurtunities/threats, often you will be able to eliminated a player across the field who is not watching you
easier than the player in front of you.
Assess
your cover
Are
there holes in the barricade to look through, shoot
through or alternatively be shot through. When you are behind the barricade is there any part of you exposed, such as a foot, or your hopper.
Listen
Listen
for foot steps, rattling hopper’s or the opposing
team talking.
Communicate
Talk
to your team mates. Let them know when you are moving, get
them to cover you. Let your team mates know where the
enemy is and where there are moving to. Tell your team how
many players are left, this is very important. This is
probably the difference between a team and just a bunch of individuals who happen to be wearing the same coloured arm bands.
Vary
your Fire Position
Don’t
come out from the same spot of one barricade each
time. The person on the other side will already have
you lined up the second time you poke your head out.
Come
out, Come out ready for action
If
you are going to stick your head out to see where your
enemy is, come out with your gun up ready to fire. If
there is a target you can let him have it straight away
rather than having to come out again or lift your gun
up to fire.
Know
where your going
Before
you run out from your cover know where you are going. Plan
ahead where ever possible.
